What we create,
is shaped by ECHOES.
ECHOES was born from friendship, curiosity, and a shared passion for design. In 2023, designer Olivier Daelman and furniture maker Toon Van der Gucht decided to join forces, merging their complementary skills into a single creative practice.
Where it began.
In 2023, designer Olivier Daelman and furniture maker Toon Van der Gucht founded a collective dedicated to designing and producing furniture and objects in Sint-Niklaas and Ghent, Belgium. Their practice is rooted in the rich legacy of design and architectural history, while consciously extending beyond the boundaries of any single discipline.
At ECHOES, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Guided by the belief that “Speed comes solo, but progress comes with others”, we work closely with local makers and experts, embracing creative cross-pollination as the essence of our practice. After launching our first prototypes in late 2024, the debut collection followed in early 2025.
Our designs grow from our own vision, interests, and craftsmanship — not from commissions. By remaining independent and keeping every step in-house, we stay true to who we are. Each piece we create carries character, a hint of rock ’n’ roll, and is always rooted in a clear source of inspiration or idea. Furniture, for us, should do more than furnish a room — it should spark conversation.

Olivier studied interior design at Sint-Lucas and previously founded MAN architecten, DON, and ROSSO.

In 2019, Toon founded his own studio, specializing in bespoke work and furniture. Together, they bring their shared fascination for spatial design, furniture, and architecture to life.
It's all about collaboration

It's all about collaboration ✌︎
At ECHOES, collaboration is at the core of our practice. We actively seek exchanges with other disciplines, seeing cross-pollination as a source of innovation and meaning. Each project is, in a way, an open call — an invitation to create together.
Our work spans from monumental marble pieces that carry poetry and weight, to smaller designs in plywood or lacquer that ensure accessibility. In this way, we show that design can inspire and represent, while remaining functional and attainable. With a spirit of creative entrepreneurship, we look forward to building new collaborations and shaping future collections.
